In Luleå you can do many things, in the winter you can go skiing, go iceskating, drive snowmobile, hang out with friends, play different kinds of sports like hockey, tennis, swimming, basketball, floorball and gym training. In the summer you can play soccer, ride a bike, ride horses, drive moped, hang out with friends, go bathing in the lake, go fishing, drive motorcross, quadbike, play basketball outside and golf.
Sometimes there are discos like ”hertsödisco” one of luleås best discos where a lot of young people meet and party. If you are hot in the summer you can go bathing in different places like ”arcusbadet”, ”trolltjärn” and ”aronsbadet”. We have places that we call ”gården” that is like a youth center.
In Luleå there are many soccerteams like Baik, IFK, Gif, Notviken and LSK so soccer is very popular in Luleå. In Bergnäset there is a very popular place called Bergvallen and you can do all sorts of things there like Soccer, athletics, Ice hockey and basketball.
There are many nice beaches in Luleå, one of them is Lulsundet. Lulsundet is a beach a bit outside Luleå, it’s a big beach and it is shallow so it’s a good place if you have kids. There are a few baths in Luleå, one of them is Pontusbadet and it’s in the city.
Good and bad things about Luleå
Good things in Luleå is that it isn’t to crowded, it’s easy to drive a car and walk in the city, in luleå you can walk and ride a bike pretty much everywhere so that’s great. There are a lot of soccer fields and bathing places where people hang out. Bad things in Luleå is that the city isn’t the biggest and Luleå isn’t very big so there not as many things to do if you compare it to like Stockholm. There are less stores swell.

Have you just moved to Luleå and your children are bored to death? Fear not, there are a lot of things for young people to do. If your children are interested in sports there is a lot of sport in Luleå. If they like hockey, Luleå has one of the best hockey teams in Sweden. If they like basketball there is Lf Basket which is our local team.
If your children like football, there are a lot of local football teams that they can join. If your children don’t like sports they can either go shopping or just explore the beautiful nature of northen Sweden. In the winter we even have an ice road to walk, ski, or skate on.
